Wow can you believe Summer is almost here? Where did this year go? It has been a fantastic year for Actors Circle students. We are so proud of all the work that everybody is booking! We have received many calls about our Summer schedule. All of the classes that are currently running stay the same. We are adding some other special events.
IMPROV JAM
The next Improv Jam will be held on Wednesday Night June 16th from 6:30-9:30. Three hours of nonstop Improv. It's fast...it's furious...and everybody leaves just that much funnier. This Jam is open to everybody and we always have delightful guest Improvisers and comedians stop by. Though we include Improv in all of our classes this is an intensive that we do every 6 weeks. The Intensive is facilitated by Al LeBrun. The ages for the Improv Jam are 16-adult. The cost for the Improv Jam is 10.00.
COMMERCIAL INTENSIVE
The next commercial intensive will be held on Saturday June 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a three hour intensive that covers every aspect of Commercial acting including slating,cue cards, spokesperson dialogue, Commercial scenes, improv for commercial auditions, agents, photo advice and so on. The cost for the workshop is 50.00. Please reserve a spot by emailing marcie@theactorscircle.com or calling 310.402.1952. This class fills up fast so reserve early.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON CLASS
We are opening our Wednesday afternoon class for adults up to select teens. These teens must be advanced and will be accepted into this workshop only upon approval of the instructor. This is a unique opportunity for teens to grow in an intensive class working with adult actors. Please contact Marcie directly to make an appointment to discuss this class.
SEMIPRIVATE CLASSES
During the summer we are offering semiprivate classes during the daytime. The way that these classes work is you bring the group to us and we do a one hour private lesson. The cost for this class is 75.00 for the whole group not per person. The maximum for the semiprivate group is 4 students.
HOLIDAY HOURS
We will be closed on Sunday July 4th
MAKEUP POLICY
If you have paid for a series of classes we require 24 hour cancellation notice in order for you to get a makeup. This is a policy that has been in place since the beginning of The Actors Circle. We are actually more flexible in our pricing and makeup policy than a lot of other studios. We pride ourselves in working with you to provide a program that works for all of you.
NOTES FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Thank you for a wonderful year. We are looking so forward to a busy and productive summer. I personally am so proud of the acheivements of our past and present Actors Circle students. Always know that I have an open door policy at the studio and am happy to take your calls and emails at any time regarding career questions. If you have doubts about situations that arise research and ask questions. Remember this actors...Artists need to work on their craft all the time. Actors cannot act from audition to audtion but must in some way be acting all the time. SO experience life, keep your eyes open to all that is around you, and of course GET TO CLASS. A great artist never thinks the painting is done.
